LUXOR, EGYPT - MARCH 9: Tourists visit the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut at located on the west bank of the Nile, Luxor, Egypt. Hatshepsut, doughter of Thutmose I and Queen Ahmose, is the first female pharaoh of Egypt who ruled between 1479-1458 BC. Her embalmed body was buried in the Valley of the Kings just like the other pharaohs. Hatshepsut is known to have used the false beard and dressed like a man so Queen Hatshepsut is depicted wearing a false beard. The mortuary temple built by architect Senmut enthral the visitors.
