Russian Ministry of Defense reports artillery strikes on Ukrainian positions in Kherson
KHERSON, UKRAINE (RELEASED ON DEC. 4, 2024) (USERS MUST CREDIT “RUSSIAN MINISTRY OF DEFENSE” HANDOUT — EDITORIAL USE ONLY) The Russian Ministry of Defense released a video on Wednesday, Dec. 4, showing an artillery unit conducting strikes on Ukrainian military positions in Kherson region.
The footage highlights strikes carried out by airborne artillery units on the right bank of the Dnepr River.
According to the ministry’s statement, Msta-B howitzers, operated by an airborne formation, destroyed a Ukrainian self-propelled artillery system and its crew.
The statement also noted that Russian forces from the "Battlegroup Dnepr" inflicted significant damage to personnel and equipment of the Ukrainian army, specifically targeting units from the 141st Infantry, 110th Mechanized, and 124th Territorial Defense Brigades.
The strikes were reportedly conducted near the settlements of Novoandreyevka and Kamenskoye in the Zaporozhye Region, as well as Sadovoye and Priozyornoye in the Kherson Region.(Footage by Russian Defense Ministry/Anadolu Agency via Getty Images)
