Texas Senator John Cornyn says a day after President Donald Trump nominated Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court that some had said there was not enough time before the midterm election, which would raise antennae but there was plenty of time to do the job under the Constitution and move expeditiously to fill the post and not leave it vacant.
