An aerial video of the 60-feet Goddess Chamundeshwari statue with 18 hands and made of five metal alloys (panchaloha) which was inaugurated last month at Gowdagere village, some 100kms from Bangalore, India. The temple is called "Shree Chamundeswari Basavappanavara Punyakshethra" It took three years to complete the project. Villagers from Gowdagere and surrounding areas of Channapatna and Ramanagara district contributed copper, bronze and brass tumblers, pots, old boilers, etc apart from gold and silver - in all, 36 tonnes of metal alloys were used to make the statue.
