Severe storms drenched central Alabama on Wednesday night, October 6, prompting flash flood warnings. Many homes, streets, and roads were under floodwater after heavy rains. A Tornado Watch was in effect until 10 p.m. for the counties of Blount, Calhoun, Cherokee, Clay, Cullman, Etowah, Jefferson, St. Clair, Shelby and Talladega.
