Indonesia hospital ship sail to Egypt to treat Palestinians
JAKARTA, INDONESIA - JAN. 18, 2024: Indonesia Hospital Ship KRI Dr. Radjiman Wedyodiningrat-992 sailed to Al Arish Harbour Egypt from Tanjung Priok Harbour Jakarta on Thursday morning, Jan. 18, 2024.
Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto attended the departure ceremony.
This Hospital Ship to bring more than 200 tons of logistic, such as food, cloth, blanket, tent, and medicine to help Palestine people in refugee camp.
About 214 Navy members and a number of health care workers joint in the humanitarian mission.
As a hospital ship, this ship has capabilities equivalent to a type C hospital which is equipped with an outpatient clinic, emergency unit (ER), inpatient room, and radiology unit including various facilities, such as CT scans, C-Arms, x-ray, panoramic, to 4D ultrasound.
KRI Dr Radjiman is able to carry out various medical operations, ranging from neurosurgery, bone surgery, obstetric removal, caesarean section, thyroid surgery, eye surgery, cataract surgery, to mouth or cleft lip surgery.
