Congressman Nadler remarks opposing civil liberties panel

Former House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler says in debate on a resolution to establish a Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government as a select investigative subcommittee of the Committee on the Judiciary that Americans across the country had watched the Republican Party meltdown, the panel aims to undermine the safeguards of their democracy and to embolden MAGA extremists who would rather see their institutions fail, then to see Democrats and President Biden succeed, the new Subcommittee would expend untold time and money undermining their nation's law enforcement agencies, their justice system and their intelligence community, all for the political catering to the extremist wing of the Republican Party.
