About 80 people gathered at the main building of the Dogo-onsen Hot Spring in Matsuyama, Ehime Prefecture, to give the historic structure its traditional thorough house-cleaning on December 6, 2016, Japan. In preparation for a fresh year, workers armed with cloth wipes, brooms and brushes on long poles set to cleaning every visible surface inside and outside the building, where 145 tatami mats were also replaced.
