A whirlwind tore and mauled its way across London, tossing people, roofs, cars and trees out of its path as it howls through the night sky. It brought sixty seconds of terror then roared on to its next target - leaving scenes of chaos behind. The whirlwind sliced away a wall of this home in Vale Grove, Acton. Firemen are at work clearing the rubble, a rescue ladder stands against the shattered wall of the wrecked building.
