Wearying of the to-and-fro march of a picket in front of his strike-bound produce market in Homestead, proprietor V Stone haired a balck woman to walk with the picket with a sign reading ‘just married…on our honeymoon…ain’t love grand?’ The picket doesn’t look too happy about the whole thing. Leaders of the 400 A.F. of L. Produce strikers and officials of the Wholesale Industry committee were scheduled to meet today with Labor Department representatives in Washington in an effort to settle this produce strike.
