Worlds Oldest Aircraft Carrier INS Viraat Decommissioned
MUMBAI, INDIA - MARCH 6: INS Viraat, Oldest serving aircraft carrier was decommissioned at Naval Dockyard on March 6, 2017 in Mumbai, India. INS Viraat is the longest serving warship in the world. It hold the Guinness Books of record for this, according to the Indian Navy. Centaur-class carrier was first commissioned into the British Royal Navy as the HMS Hermes on November 18, 1959, 15 years after she was laid down in June, 1944.
