Buriel of UDR Officer Harold Sinnamon
The remains of Warrant Officer Harold Sinnamon, 8th County Tyrone Battalion, Ulster Defence Regiment, are laid to rest at All Saints Church Crossdernott, Pomeroy, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, 14th April 1974. Warrant Officer Sinnamon, 34, was killed by the Irish Republican Army (IRA) when a remote controlled bomb hidden in a derelict house in Boyds Square, Dungannon detonated on 11th April 1974. He was the 43rd UDR soldier to be killed in Northern Ireland. Between 1 April 1970 and 30 June 1992, a total of 197 soldiers were killed as active servicemen.
