The Philippines Airlines Airbus A330 back door (C) is still open where earlier a hijacker jump out when his demands to have the plane flying from the southern city of Davao to Manila diverted was rejected. The hijacker, with marital problems and armed with a home-made gun and grenade, fired a shot at the Airbus A330-300 cockpit door and ordered the crew to collect cash from the 278 passengers, according to passengers and crew as they filed out of the plane looking distressed at the Ninoy Aquino airport. Superintendent Lucas Managuelod, provincial police chief in Laguna province just south of Manila, said a parachute was sighted going down over his province and that the hijacker was still at large.
