Protest Against the Rockefeller Drug Laws

Stevens, who has muscular dystrophy, served 5 years in prison for a first-time drug offense. Stevens is one of thousands of New Yorkers who has served, or is serving long term prison sentences for a first-time drug offense as a result of the Rockefeller Drug Laws, which were passed in 1973 and are some of the strictest drug laws in the country.
