JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA: South Africans walk past a statue of former South African President Nelson Mandela 31 May 2005 in Joannesburg. Mandela won a court ruling ordering a former confidant and his business associate to stop selling fake artwork bearing his name on the ground that his "name, reputation and signature" were at stake. Mandela's lawyer Vincent Maleka sought an interdiction against the anti-apartheid hero's former confidant Ismail Ayob and the latter's friend, Ross Calder, who had been selling artworks depicting the elder statesman's long years in prison and signed copies of his autobiography.
