CZECHOSLOVAKIA-SUDETEN-BORDER-WWII

Some inhabitants of Kaplice (Kaplitz) remove the Czechoslovakian border sign on October 04, 1938 on German-Czechoslovakian border. In the second half of September, 1938 the members of Konrad Henleins Sudeten German party began to initiate disturbances, armed incidents and invectives against Czechoslovak authorities and they demanded annexation to Hitlers Germany. Their desire was fulfilled after the Munich Agreement or Dictate and the minority of the Czech inhabitants of the town and villages had to move to the interior of Bohemia. The agreement, signed by Germany, France, Britain, and Italy permitted German annexation of Czechoslovakia's Sudetenland. AFP PHOTO (Photo by AFP) (Photo by -/AFP via Getty Images)
