Senate Democrats Ratify Leadership Choices\

UNITED STATES - NOVEMBER 14: Sen.-elect Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, and Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., on their way to leadership elections for their caucus. Harry Reid of Nevada and Richard J. Durbin of Illinois will continue to lead the party, but this time as majority leader and majority whip. The two have held the top jobs since the start of the current Congress in 2005. Reid previously served as whip under Minority Leader Tom Daschle, D-S.D., who was defeated in his Senate re-election bid in 2004. Byron L. Dorgan of North Dakota will remain chairman of the Democratic Policy Committee, and Charles E. Schumer of New York agreed to an encore as chairman of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, but also will gain a new title -- vice chairman of the Democratic Caucus, the new No. 3 leadership post.
