Saddam's cubs, named after Iraqi President Saddam
DIALA, IRAQ: Saddam's cubs, named after Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, raise their hands during a military march 13 July 1999, at a summer camp in Diala, 70 kms north of Baghdad, at the end of their military training course which began in June. Saddam's cubs were launched five years ago to prepare young volunteers for the "Fedayeen", a paramilitary force with an estimated strength of more than 60,000 that was set up five years ago.
