Rotherham, UNITED KINGDOM: A sign pointing to the M1 motorway is seen on the main road through the Catcliffe area of Sheffield, submerged in flood waters, 26 June 2007 as the level of river water continued to rise across South Yorkshire. Hundreds of people in northern England were evacuated from their homes today after torrential rain that has so far claimed three lives threatened to cause a dam to burst.
