ME.puppies.2.kl.4/22/98––LOS ANGELES–– Eighteen–month old Walter Griffin of Los Angeles and his 18–month–old son, Walter, Jr., peers through window of SPCA Pet Adoption Center early Wednesday, April 22, 1998, at one of nine shepherd–mix puppies put up for adoption. The puppies were found by sheriff's deputies in a plastic bag in in a West Hollywood gutter during a February rainstorm. The Griffin family was the first to adopt one of the puppies when the store opened. the center is located in suite 205, second level Seventh Market Place, Los Angeles.
