A Polish girl scout lights a candle in front of the monument of Treblinka World War II-era Nazi death camp on October 2, 2013 in Treblinka. Around 600 young Israelis and Poles participated in a memorial ceremony at the site of the Treblinka WWII-era Nazi death camp, east of the Polish capital Warsaw. Samuel Willenberg, the only living survivor of an August 1943 prisoner rebellion at Treblinka also attended along with several Poles recognized by Israel as righteous gentiles for risking their lives to save Jews from Nazi German genocide.
