JEDDAH, SAUDI ARABIA: Police check the boot of a car a day following a car bomb in the capital Riyadh, during a raid in the port city of Jeddah late 22 April 2004. Saudi security forces shot dead three militants during a clash in the city last night, including two figuring on a list of most wanted terror suspects, a police source at the scene said early 23 April 2004."Security forces responded as the situation dictated, which led to the killing of three wanted men and the capture of (a fourth). One security man was slightly wounded," an official statement said. The three militants who were gunned down were among at least six presumed Islamist extremists who took refuge in a building under construction after they were chased by security patrols, a security man on the scene earlier told AFP.
