On the day the Treaty of Versailles was signed, wounded veterans of World War I proudly carry union flags through the streets of London. Two men ride in invalid carriages whilst a third walks beside them with the aid of a stick and wooden leg. This photograph has been selected from the Daily Herald Archive, a collection of over three million photographs.
