Note on a scarf, Anfield football ground, Liverpool, April 1989.
UNITED KINGDOM - OCTOBER 18: Note from a schoolgirl to a friend who died: Dear Kevin, its Michala. I just want to let you know we all love you. I dont want to believe you wont be with us anymore, but I know its true. We will miss you, you dont know how much! I cant write any more. But I want you to know all your mates in the fifth year are dead upset. We love you. And Ill never ever forget you. Ive got to tell Laurence soon and I dont know if I can! Oh God, why did you take Kev! I want you to know that everyone is_numb! Well miss you! I love you - Michala xx. On 15 April 1989, 96 football fans were crushed to death during a rush to get into the Hillsborough football ground in Sheffield, Yorkshire. The Taylor Report, an inquiry into the disaster, found the cause to be failure of police control. (Photo by SSPL/Getty Images)
