McDonald's China New Headquarters Building And Flagship Restaurant

SHANGHAI, CHINA - OCTOBER 10, 2021 - McDonald's China attracts customers after opening its new headquarters building and flagship restaurant, the largest in business area, in Shanghai, China, Oct. 10, 2021. Named MCHQ, the building will bring together the IT Strategy research center, the Food Innovation Center and the McDonald's China Hamburg University. The building also looks like a hamburger, with the golden Arches LOGO and an inflatable model of the giant mascot Ronald McDonald. The bottom two floors are the first CUBE style compound flagship restaurant in East China, designed by the well-known designer Liang Zhitian, which skillfully integrates CUBE (CUBE) and smiley logo. The restaurant can accommodate more than 200 customers at the same time. The huge 3D naked eye LED screen at the entrance shows animated videos about brand culture and food material processing, which is both visual enjoyment and knowledge popularization. In addition to hamburgers, French fries and fried chicken, the restaurant also cooperates with Citic Bookstore to launch for the first time an interesting space combining coffee, bookstore and mini theater (small theatrical performances or salons), providing children and families with a fairy tale world full of fun and reading, and giving the fast food restaurant a more diversified social value.
