Martin Romo wheels the hat rack into an enormous oven to bake.A wrought iron hat rack is transformed from a coral chipped finish to a creamy white powder finish at a Chatsworth company named Applied Powder Coat Powder coating is an alternative to liquid painting. first the rust and old finish are removed by sandblasting. Then the piece is cleaned and the poder is sparyed on. It is then placed in a large oven and it bakes melting the powder which consists of plastic resins to a strong chip resistant finish.
