David Critchlow Sitting in a Bomber Cockpit
(Original Caption) Major David M. Critchlow, of Sacramento, California, gives the "all O.K." sign from the cockpit of the B-52 intercontinental jet bomber from which he and his crew will drop an H-bomb over Namu Island tomorrow weather permitting. It will be the first hydrogen bomb ever dropped from an American plane. Plane and crew come from the strategic air command.
