Kitchen hand at the Wesley central mission Robert Wallece McRoberts who is a volunteer in the restaurant area.Voluntary work led to Robert McRoberts getting full-time, paid work and a brighter outlook. The 62-year-old jack of all trades who has held jobs from barber to fitter and turner was working at Balmain Hospital as a porter when he injured his back lifting things and had to stop work in 1988.Robert spent more than a year without work, but says he wasn't content just watching the "goggle box" (television) of sitting in a pub so he went to Wesley Central Mission in the City one day and asked for volunteer work.
