Karen Kwok Hoi Ying of Hong Kong smiles while displaying her gold medal after defeating Great Britain's Nigel Murray in the Boccia individual BC2 category gold medal match during the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games on September 9, 2008 at the Fencing Hall of the National Convention Center in Beijing. Kwok defeated Murray 5-3 to win gold. Boccia is similar to the better known bocce, designed to be played by people with cerebral palsy and other locomotor disabilities affecting motor skills and is one of three Paralympic sports that have no counterpart in the Olympic program.
