Joe Namath Relaxing With Foot up

(Original Caption) Joe Namath, New York Jets' quarterback, keeps his left leg propped up on a glass table while watching television in solitary splendor in his Upper East Side apartment in New York January 25. The leg was placed in a thigh-to-ankle cast Jan. 25, to reduce wear and tear on Joe's chronically-inflamed knee. A small tear of the tendon, just below the kneecap, has caused the inflammation, a Jets spokesman said. The cast is to remain on for three or four weeks. Joe has had two serious operations on his right knee.
