In this picture taken on November 1, 2012, emus eat grain at an Indian emu breeding facility at Vasna-Rathod village near Dehgam, some 40kms from Ahmedabad. Presently there are more then 1500 emu farms all across India and are farmed primarily for their meat, leather, and oil. The meat is a low-fat meat, the fat is rendered to produce oil for cosmetics, dietary supplements, and therapeutic products, and the leather is used in small items such as wallets and shoes.
