French optical engineer Pascal Cotte stands in front of a replica of a portrait of a girl belonging to a private collector which may be a previously unrecognised work by Leonardo da Vinci, on October 15, 2009 at the Lumiere Technology laboratory in Paris. The laboratory found a left-hand fingerprint on the work in January 2009 and established that it was "very similar" to one found on a da Vinci work. Lumiere Technology uses its multispectral high definition digitization system for Fine Arts to analyse paintings and restore original colours.
