A crew member of the USS Kearsarge assists a Miskito native child at Puerto Cabezas, in the Autonomous North Atlantic Region of Nicaragua, 557 kilometers northwest of Managua on August 19, 2008, during the seventh day of deployment of humanitarian assistance. The operation is called "Continuing Promise '08" and is sponsored by the US Southern Command to provide first aid, dental care, veterinarian immunization services, and carry out minor construction projects in the Caribbean region.
