Spring's First Warm Wind Blows In Tokyo

The Japan Meteorological Agency formally announced that "haru-ichiban," the first warm spring wind, had blown in the Hokuriku and Kanto regions. The JMA defines haru-ichiban as the first strong warm wind from the south that comes between "risshun," the first day of spring under the lunar calendar that usually comes in early February, and the vernal equinox, around March 20.
