(Original Caption) 6/26/47-Cleveland, Ohio- Ray Robinson, (left), looks down at the prostrate figure of Jimmy Doyle as Doctors try to awaken the unconscious fighter. He was carried from the ring soon afterwards and taken to the hospital where a delicate brain operation was performed in an attempt to save his life. However he never regained consciousness and died from a cerebral hemorrhage, according to Coroner Samuel Gerber.
