Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Berge's collection to be sold : A 20th Century Sentimental and artistic adventure
At the home of Yves Saint Laurent, rue de Babylone. Some of the rarest art works from the Collection are being moved to be sent to New York. At New York Christie's, they will be exhibited and presented to the main American buyers. After New York, they will travel to London and Brussels. Here "The Portrait of Alfred de Dreux and his sister Elizabeth" by Gericault is being taken down from the wall to be packed and boxed. The works of art collected over the past fifty years by Pierre Berge and Yves Saint Laurent will be sold at auction by Christie's beginning February 23, 2009 at the Grand Palais, in Paris. According to dealers and collectors from all over the world this will certainly be the sale of the century.
