Arrested in Disclosure of Murder Syndicate

At least 12 men alleged to be members of a murder syndicate responsible for a score of gangland deaths have been arrested, William O'Dwyer, Brooklyn District Attorney, announced. He said the syndicate was composed of a group of mobsters and "trigger-men" who were hired by rival gangsters operating in New York state and Michigan. As little as five or ten dollars for a killing was said to have been paid. Shown (left to right) above are three of the suspects taken into custody: Seymour Magoon, Frank Abbandando, Harry (Happy) Majone.
