Antonio Logan-El and the Short Life of His Football Career
WASHINGTON, DC - APRIL 27:
Antonio Logan-El, 2nd from R, talks game tactics with teammates - Ray Hogwood, L, Alex Rawlings, 2nd from L, and coach Cephas Thomas, R - before their flag football game at the Rosedale Recreation Center on Sunday, April 27, 2014, in Washington, DC. Logan-El is a former All-Met high school football player from Forestville, MD, who was one of the most coveted offensive lineman recruits in the Class of 2006. Expected to go to Maryland, he spurned the Terps in a now-infamous Signing Day Ceremony, tossing a Terps hat away and choosing Penn State. Logan-El flamed out at Penn State before transferring to Towson, where he didn't do too much in terms of football. Now Logan-El, who is openly gay, plays semi-professional flag football and works as a counselor at a halfway house in DC.
