Anna Sklepovich, 13, of Gary, West Virginia, victim of a prank by her brother, and George Allen, Chairman of the President's birthday ball, call at the White House. Anna, whose birthday is on the same day as the President's, wrote him a congratulatory letter. The President answered in kind. Her brother opened the letter and added a postscript inviting her to the birthday ball. Anna came to Washington believing the postscript. When the President heard of her plight, he really invited her to the ball.
