An Indian model performs for the semi-finals of 'Indian Super Queen' beauty contest for the transgendered community in Mumbai on February 13, 2010. 'Indian Super Queen', launched in Mumbai on January 11, is the first ever beauty pageant organised for the transgender community in the country. Such pageants are among the latest in a series of recent attempts to break down barriers for India's transgendered citizens. In November 2009, eunuchs -- men who have been castrated -- claimed victory in a long-standing campaign to be listed as 'others,' distinct from males and females, on electoral rolls and voter identity cards.
